When my day is full
with problems and pain,
sometimes I don't
take the time
to be quiet.

Lord,
Teach me to be quiet,
so quiet I can hear your voice.
So quiet I know it is your voice.

Teach me to ask
Not just what I want
But what I need to pray for.

Lord,
I always come to you
with my problems,
but I am never quiet enough
to listen to you.

I know that praying
