Forgiving

In my past
I got hurt by others.
Those hurts,
all the misunderstandings,
and lies
stay with me.

Sometime those hurts
run through my mind,
and I get mad
 and upset again.
It is hard to forgive and forget.

But, Lord Jesus
you taught us
to forgive and forget.

I am tired of being mad
and angry with others.
Jesus teach me how
to forgive and forget.

Teach me
to let go of my anger
and turn it into love.

Teach me
 to accept what had happened
 is in the past.
Help me to accept
that I cannot change yesterday.

Lord, Jesus
I ask for the grace
to forgive and forget.
