Evening Prayer of Thanks

Dear God,
I am sitting
here by myself.
I want to thank
you for my day.

To give thanks to you
for all the people
I came in contact with.
For all the people
who help me
 to get through this day.

For all your love
and kindness that
is shown to me today.
As the day is coming
to the end
 I ask you to bless;
my family,
 my friends,
 and keep them safe.

Also
I pray for the homeless
 and the poor in spirit.
 Bless them and warm them
with your love.

Thanks for this day Lord.
