Accomplish
I sat still in a chair
in the dark,
and listened.
I sat in a dark room
with a candle lit.
From the window,
by the light of a street lamp,
I saw a tree, blowing in the wind.
I sat there thinking,
“What is my talent?”
I can write.
I can make people laugh.
I care for others,
and more.
I also thought about
what I had accomplished in my life;
walking,
receiving my high school diploma,
having good friends,
knowing who is God.
Live is too short to wait for something
that may never come.
I am working at different things.
Some things I accomplish,
and some I don’t.
But I am still going on.
