To Prepare a Place

It was a few weeks
before Christmas
and I was running around trying to get
everything ready for Christmas.

I was so busy preparing for Christmas
I forgot to do one important thing.
I remembered to buy all the gifts.

I remembered to put up
a Christmas' tree and lights.

I remembered to wish everyone
a Merry Christmas
and A Happy New Year.

When Christmas' Eve came
I felt I had forgot something.
But what?

When I was at church that night,
it came to me what
I had forgot to do.

I had forgot
to prepare a place
for Jesus to be reborn
into my heart.
