Stay Close to God
Every day I try to stay close to God.
But when my day rolls into night
and I look back on my day
I can see I had failed.
When temptations knock at my door
I sometime answer it.
And then I fail.
Dear Lord, Jesus,
When temptations
come knocking at my door,
please give me
the strength not to answer it.
I know
that every temptation
leads to sin.
Lord,
I know that
each temptation would
make my faith in you stronger
if I don’t give in.
Lord,
Please help me
when I am tempted.
